Surveying Co-op Student

Aquatics is survey company that specializes in surveying in many different environments including rivers, lakes and oceans. We conduct both land surveying especially with lidar, and hydrographic surveying with multibeam ecosounders. We use manned boats, autonomous boats, manned lidar, drone lidar systems.
We are seeking a person to join us in our operations to go on survey jobs throughout western Canada. The job will involve running GNSS equipment, inertial navigation equipment, drones, boats, etc. The work is extremely varied and the opportunities unique. You would be working with an experienced surveyor and have the opportunity to conduct projects on your own with some training. Much of the equipment is very specialized but training is provided. The work will also involve the processing of the data that was acquired.
Required to have geomatics experience. Basic operation of establishing base station, operation of survey gear, etc. Mostly, the applicant needs to have an openness to learn new technologies and techniques to survey in a wide variety of settings. There is travelling involved to different locations, but primarily the work (post processing and report production) is completed at our offices at St. Andrews Airport.
Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience.
