Central Assiniboine Watershed District
Seasonal (4 month) Student Job Opportunity
Office located in Baldur, MB.
**Subject to availability of Funding
Term: May – August 2023 – 16 weeks
**Must meet requirements as specified under the federal ‘Canada Summer Jobs’ or ‘Hometown Green
Team’ Programs.
Qualifications
Focus on:
GIS/Microsoft Office computer skills
Land surveying (transit/laser/RTK)
General Duties:
Assist with CD programs such as well capping and shock chlorinating wells
Able to drive for a few hours at a time without rests
Transport small pull behind tree planting equipment
Conduct site inspections for program eligibility
Willing to work with a minimum of supervision or as a team
Capable of carrying heavy loads, up to 50 lbs.
Planning and organizational skills
Experience with Conservation or farm work
Must possess a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License
Evening and weekend work possible
