Transport Trailer Technician

Overview

We are looking to add a Transport Trailer Technician to join our Fleet Repair and Maintenance team in Winnipeg, MB. As part of our experienced and cohesive team, the Transport Trailer Technician will be responsible for routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs to our fleet of company owned trailers of a variety of configurations used in various applications. In addition, you will be required to perform diagnoses and repairs to mechanical, air, hydraulic and electrical system defects.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:
• Red Seal Transport Trailer Technician (or equivalent) preferred
• Journeyman will be responsible to oversee/mentor apprentices in the maintenance and repair of various equipment
• Experience working with hand tools and in a shop environment
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, air, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members
• Must have own tools and safety boots
• Must be physically fit (able to lift approx. 50 lbs., kneeling and crouching for extended periods of time)
• The successful candidate will require reliable transportation as our facility is located outside of public transport
