Weed Inspector
Overview
• Responsible for the identification and eradication of weeds in both rural and urban areas per provincial guidelines.
• Complete the Rodent control program at Municipal landfill sites and transfer sites.
• Completes basal spraying under the Dutch Elm Disease program.
• Completes the mosquito control program in urban areas, including monitoring, larvicide, and spraying.
• Enforces the Noxious Weeds Act.
Qualifications
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Have a current Pesticide Applicator’s Permit or ability to obtain level within a specified time frame.
• Basic computer skills and use of MS office
