THE OPPORTUNITY:
Tundra has an opportunity for a Workovers and Downhole Repair & Maintenance Engineering Student for the summer of 2026 (May-August) based out of the Virden, Manitoba office.

REPORTS TO: Workovers Manager

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
• Assist Production Engineers/Technologist/Technicians with management and implementation of hot oil, acidizing, and solvent circulation stimulation programs
• Assist department members with prioritized management and implementation of the problem well troubleshooting to return wells to production as efficiently and economically as possible
• Onsite training of service rig operations and coordinating
• Production monitoring duties involving shooting and interpretation of fluid levels and evaluation of well tests
• Coordinate yearly packer integrity/annular isolation testing and submit results to regulatory agencies on schedule
• Well programming and well research reviews of problematic wells that require remedial work or repair

OTHER DETAILS:
• This position is office-based (Monday to Friday)
• Potential for some field-based work

Qualifications

WHAT YOU NEED:
• Currently enrolled in Engineering or Technologist Education Program
• Experience in, or ability to learn:
1. Computer programs; Excel, PVR, and Wellman
2. Downhole production TBG and BHP designs
3. Sucker rod / beam pumping equipment, operation, and design
4. Well programming & execution
5. Oilfield chemicals; corrosion, scaling, and paraffin
