Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Creates an exceptional patient experience by providing professional and compassionate care

Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the clinical area

Reviews procedures for appropriateness and patient eligibility

Obtains patient history and educate patients on exam procedures

Sets up, adjusts, and operates X-ray equipment selecting proper technical factors to obtain accurate diagnostic radiographs

Assists Beam physicians with interventional procedures by preparing the fluoroscopic suite, operating the C-arm and processing equipment as required

Follows principles of proper aseptic technique during procedures

Accurately completes all necessary paperwork

Maintains quality assurance of the equipment and completion of quality control logs

Assists with inventory control and stocking of supplies

Maintains all company standards including quality of work and results, test procedure and methodology, turn-around-time, confidentiality of test results, assist and/or provide training to x-ray as required

Duties are to be performed under the guidance of the clinic manager

Be fully knowledgeable about company procedures and standards including procedures relating to the performance and documentation of examinations and turn-around-time.

Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information at all times.

Shifts:

Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Diploma (Degree) in Radiography/CLXT from an accredited institution

Must be a registered member in good standing of ACMDTT

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to deal effectively with patients and their families, co-workers, and other health care staff

Strong sense of personal and professional accountability, flexibility, and initiative to achieve high quality examinations and overall functioning of the department

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Patient-focused orientation and the ability to provide excellent patient care

Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and work well under pressure

Proficient in using Microsoft Office products, e-mail and the internet
