Employer Showcase Series
October/November 2026 | Dates TBA | Victoria Ave East Campus
November is Career Month in Canada and here in Manitoba, it’s also Career & Workforce Development Month!
To mark the occasion, current employers and partners of the Peters School of Business and the Russ Edwards School of Agriculture and Environment, are invited to come on campus and connect with students. These invitation-only sessions support students at different stages of their career development - while some are beginning to explore industries and career pathways, others are identifying and preparing to apply for positions beginning in the Spring/Summer.
On each date within the Series, invited guests will meet with small groups of students in a structured, conversational setting designed to encourage meaningful dialogue, deeper engagement, and stronger connections (a workforce readiness approach).
Students walk away with the key information they need to tailor resumes and better prepare for potential interviews, while employers have the chance to identify potential candidates for upcoming positions early, and continue building strong ties with future talent.
Mock Interviews
Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 | Dates TBA
Participating in Mock Interviews offers employers a meaningful way to support emerging talent while strengthening connections with students (while giving volunteers a ‘sneak peek’ at the newest group of soon-to-be graduates and/or students beginning to look for summer positions). During these interviews students gain realistic interview practice, personalized feedback and increased confidence.

ConnectED; Bridging Students and Industry

In partnership with Brandon University and the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, this event features a series of roundtable breakout sessions. Students register and customize their own agenda, allowing them to engage with industry professionals of their choice, explore career pathways, and network with experts in their selected fields.

Career Fair

Assiniboine is hosts this tradeshow event at the Victoria Ave East campus in Brandon, MB. This event is for all industries and groups interested in connecting with soon-to-be graduates who are seeking post-graduate, permanent positions.
