(Educational Supplement: Masters $1.60/hour; PhD $3.19/hour)

Reporting to the Director the incumbent plays a key role in the encouragement and development of pedagogical skills among Assiniboine College faculty, supporting faculty to achieve teaching excellence, and supporting programs to achieve academic and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor faculty in effective teaching practices, student support, classroom management, assessment, and curriculum design.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate professional development programs, workshops, orientations, and the Teaching Essentials Program for new and existing faculty.
- Support curriculum development, course revitalization, and new program/course design to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain faculty resources, templates, handbooks, and quality assurance processes to support consistent academic delivery.
- Research, promote, and implement best practices in face-to-face, blended, and online teaching, including learning management systems and open educational resources.
- Collaborate with Deans, Chairs, and faculty to identify development needs, provide targeted coaching, and create strategic faculty development plans.
- Advance institutional priorities by developing faculty supports aligned with academic plans, policies, Indigenization, internationalization, accessibility, and Universal Design for Learning.
- Foster faculty collaboration and knowledge sharing through peer mentoring, learning communities, networking, and cross-functional partnerships.
- Contribute to institutional quality and academic excellence through policy development, program review, committee participation, and collaboration on student success initiatives such as academic integrity and accessibility.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred (Bachelor's degree considered), with extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, instructional design, and educational technology.
- Demonstrated excellence in adult education, coaching, facilitation, and supporting the professional growth of others.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Proficiency in educational technologies, digital learning tools, accessibility practices, and Universal Design for Learning principles.
- Excellent project management, research, and writing skills, with the initiative to manage multiple priorities and adapt to emerging trends in education.
