Brent and Rena Mills have generously contributed to Assiniboine College's

curling program, aiming to enhance opportunities for student athletes.

On behalf of Assiniboine College, we wish to invite you to an exciting opportunity for those interested in pursuing College-level Curling combined with furthering their post-secondary education. Assiniboine College is the only Manitoba College with a curling program that is currently eligible to compete at the yearly Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Championships, doing so in 2024 and competing this year again in February 2025 in Lethbridge, Alberta.

The Cougars Curling program provides financial coverage to curl, practice and compete without any burden of participant expenses, making it one of the few in Canada that provides this level of financial support.

Our program will be holding an Identification Camp (ID Camp) to discover and develop talent for the program’s future. In addition to you working directly with college coaches at our sessions, we will provide an academic program information session with the Assiniboine College recruitment team.

The ID Camp will offer student-athletes an experience into college level curling. Our professional coaching staff will conduct skill and knowledge assessments, facilitate game situations to evaluate competitive skills, and provide insights into the recruitment process and the support our college offers its curling athletes.

We welcome all athletes (grade 11, 12 and graduated) with previous curling experience that are considering a future in college-level curling and look forward to meeting potential recruits at the camp.
