Cougars hockey and volleyball teams bring home 4 wins over the weekend!

ACC Cougars women's hockey hosted the Silvertips Friday night and won 3-1. Katie Zacharias, Brooke Drummond and Chantal Gamache each chipped in a goal while Kassidy Sjostran, Shayna Fluker, Kaelei Rink and Karissa Haney had assists. Chantal Forbes let a lone goal past, scored by Silvertips Serena Daniels. This puts their record at 6-1 heading into a tournament In Thunder Bay hosted by Lakeland University next weekend.

Women's volleyball swept their weekend on the road. Friday the team battled hard against the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers winning 3-2 (26-28, 25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 15-6). Brooke Huculak lead the charge with 24 kills, 2 aces and 3 blocks.

The women played the Université de St. Boniface Saturday afternoon and won 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 24-26, 25-12). Brooke Huculak lead the team again with 27 kills, 4 aces and 3 blocks.

Men's volleyball lost their game Friday night agains the CMU Blazers 3-1 (25-16, 24-26, 25-14, 25-22). Left side, Sam Isfeld, had 11 kills, 1 block and 1 ace, while middle, Jordan Todd, had 4 kills and 8 blocks on the match.

The men took on the Université de St. Boniface Lea Rouges and earned their first win of the year 3-1 (26-28, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23). Tristen Dias had 11 kills and 4 blocks.
