From the beginning, Darren Geletchuk understood that a good education combined with practical hands-on experience would help him achieve his goal of becoming a construction electrician journeyman. That is why he chose to take the Construction Electrician pre-employment program at Assiniboine.
While the summer weather may be here for another several weeks, Assiniboine Community College is busy preparing to greet more than 3,900 students over the coming year.
Arin Hiebert’s (Culinary Arts, Class of ’12) love for all things culinary dates back to his childhood. Originally from Killarney, Man., he fondly remembers visiting his grandparents and spending time alongside his grandmother immersed in their kitchen, whether it was making dinner, baking desserts or canning and preserving in the summer months.

A six-month Applied Electrical Installation program is starting at Assiniboine Community College’s Parkland Campus this September for First Nations, Métis and Inuit students who reside off of reserve.

Joran Hedley (Business Administration, Class of ‘10) has a great gig for someone who is only 28. Now a senior accountant working with BDO Canada LLP in Brandon, Hedley started working towards his career less than a decade ago at Assiniboine.
