Based in Brandon and reporting directly to the Manager, Construction, this position is responsible for all aspects of construction and installation of new, rebuilt and/or repaired customer broadband cables and equipment with a focus on provide exceptional customer service and support.

What you’ll do:

• Work with our Construction and Fibre Teams performing pre, post and upgrade construction tasks
• Work closely with our Drop Coordinator to ensure all necessary work is completed for new, repaired, replaced, or upgraded fibre and coax cable drops
• Provide positive customer experiences regarding equipment and services
• Work cooperatively with other departments to coordinate support and escalation
• Complete work orders for all tasks completed in WCG’s data base in a timely manner
• Perform all work in accordance with quality control guidelines and company policies and procedures

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Experience in construction or residential wiring is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, timelines, and quality of work
• Demonstrated ability to work with the public, in a customer focused environment
• Must be a good team worker and have a strong work ethic
• Valid certificate in Basic Rescuer CPR and Emergency First Aid
• Must be able to carry 50 lbs
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel to remote communities with possibility of extended stays away from Brandon
