Based in Brandon and reporting directly to the Manager, Supply Chain & Property, this position is responsible for the Warehouse inventory control, shipping and receiving, distribution of materials. The Inventory & Warehouse Technician is responsible for ensuring that inventory is controlled, logged, and auditable. This role will also act as back-up support to our Property Technician on certain property functions.

What you’ll do:
• Organize inventory in an efficient and safe manner at multiple warehouse locations.
• Prepare inventory for technicians or capital projects based on requisitions.
• Provide shipping and receiving functions for all departments including arranging shipments to rural technicians and coordinating transfer of materials between different warehouse locations.
• Make local deliveries and pick-ups with suppliers and contractors as needed.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances.
• Assist with the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) cleaning, testing, and validation prior to deployment; stock and remove returned CPEs and prepare for pickup.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the team:
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of Warehouse experience is preferred; related courses to warehousing/inventory would be considered an asset (i.e., Canadian Business College, Supply Chain Management Association).
• Experience handling material with equipment such as Carts, Pallet Jacks, and other devices would be considered an asset. Material lift truck equipment training/certification would be an asset.
• Must be comfortable with heights and ladder work and be able to lift and carry up to 50 plus lbs.
• Proficient in the use of productivity tools (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Teams, CSG, Quick Base, Inventory Management Software).
