New management conference a rare opportunity

ACC is excited to announce a brand-new conference for Brandon and Westman professionals, specifically designed for the needs of managers and supervisors.

Management conference a ‘rare opportunity’ for Brandon

Managers and supervisors have a chance to build their skills in Brandon later this month.

Through its Centre of Continuing Studies, Assiniboine Community College is launching a new professional development day that is specially designed for people who are in a management or supervisory role.

The inaugural Leadership & Management Symposium will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Victoria Inn in Brandon.

“There is a need for this type of event in Brandon and Westman,” says Tannis Hudson, director of Continuing Studies at the college. “Busy professionals don’t have the time to go to Winnipeg, Calgary or Toronto for seminars and workshops. This is a rare opportunity to take advantage of valuable career training right here at home.”

Hudson says that the conference builds on ACC’s experience providing a similar event for administrative professionals. The seventh annual Administrative Professionals Day will be held in May.

“Over the past seven years, we’ve built a great network of speakers and facilitators who are eager to share their lessons with managers and supervisors,” she says. “Not only will there be a wealth of information to help people learn how to lead, this is a great professional networking opportunity.”

Registration for the full day is just $259, plus GST, which includes continental breakfast and lunch. For more information, call 204.725.8725.
