Community Housing & Wellness Coordinator
Overview
The Community Housing & Wellness Coordinator position exists to proactively advance work on Council’s strategic priorities related to community wellness.
Reporting to the City Manager, this position has three key areas of focus:
• Affordable Housing
• Supporting Committees of Council related to community wellness and inclusivity;
• Corporate and Council Strategic Priority Liaison on matters related to community wellness and inclusivity.
Qualifications
MANDATORY EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
• Post-secondary accreditation in the areas of Business, community development, social development or equivalent;
• Hold and maintain Class 5 Province of Manitoba driver’s license and have daily access to a personal vehicle.
• Minimum three years’ experience in the field of business and/or social services to demonstrate ability to perform the duties required to be successful in this position;
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Power Point; Excel, and Access.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Post-secondary course work (or equivalent experience) in the areas of Communications and Marketing.
• Demonstrated experience in the areas of Consensus Building, Leadership and Project Management
