Are you passionate about community and wellness? Do you enjoy working with children and youth? At the Y, we know children involved in recreation do better socially, are healthier and achieve higher grades in school. Our Recreation Opportunities for Children (ROC) program helps to foster a healthy model of well-being by providing recreation programs to families in the community.

Qualifications

Are you the right fit?

• Able to provide excellent leadership and develop relationships with families
• Assess goals of the program and create recreation plans
• Source and access subsidies and reduce cost opportunities
• Maintain effective external partnerships with community agencies
• Coach parents on how to access programming
• Able to successfully deal with challenging situations

What else do you need?

• 1-3 years’ experience working in a similar role
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills
• Experience in managing department budgets
