Manager of Water Treatment

Overview

Reporting to the Director of Utilities, the Manager of Water Treatment is responsible for coordinating the employees working in the City of Brandon Water Treatment Facility, Booster Pump Stations and Groundwater Wells; for overseeing the delivery of services provided by the Water Treatment Section; and for ensuring compliance with regulated Operating Licence(s) issued to the City of Brandon regarding water quality and treatment.

MANDATORY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
• Class IV Operator’s Certificate in Water Treatment as issued by the Province of Manitoba;
• Class IV Power Engineer’s Certificate as issued by the Province of Manitoba;
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a progressive leadership position;
• Must possess a valid and subsisting Class 5, Province of Manitoba driver’s license.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Experience working with collective agreements or corporate policies;
• Post-secondary degree or diploma related to Water Treatment;
• Eight (8) years experience in Water Treatment or similar operations.
