Meat Cutter
Overview
Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a Meat Cutter at our Swan River Location. Part-time or full-time positions available. Training program available for the right candidate.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Meat Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide premium meat products and world class guest service in the area of the fresh meat counter, wrapped product, fresh sausage and smoked and frozen product. Other duties include:
• Delivering world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.
• Ensuring the department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times
• Following the highest standards for sanitation and food safety guidelines
• Interacting with and answering customer questions on how to prepare products and be an ambassador for Co-op brand products
• Assisting the manager in areas of inventory control, maintenance of equipment and department safety and sanitation
Qualifications
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Operations and some or all of the following apply:
• You have industry training or previous meat industry experience
• You have a passion for creating positive guest service experiences
• You have an interest in participating in a meat cutting learning plan
• Your hobbies include sausage making or other related activities
