Reporting to the Corporate Projects and Architecture Manager, the Business Intelligence Analyst works closely with internal business stakeholders to gather, validate, document, and maintain enterprise information requirements identified by MASC’s Data and Analytics working group. Key tasks include investigating, and documenting data system capabilities, data gaps, data models that are critical to promoting data with the corporation. Along with developing operational and other dashboards for key stakeholders, the incumbent will support knowledge transfer to stakeholders for self-service business Intelligence.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post-secondary education in a related area of study, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
• Minimum three years experience in Business Intelligence, specifically in data & analytics.
• Experience creating reports/dashboards with large data sets.
• Experience with different database platforms, data models, data warehouse operations, data integration, and transformation.
• Experience working with teams to reach desired results.
• Ability to communicate insights effectively with augmented data visualization and storytelling.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as CBAP.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with PowerBI, is an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Data Factory, is an asset.
• Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, is an asset.
• Knowledge in one or more of the following domains: Financial, Insurance, Banking, or Agriculture, is an asset.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Must possess a valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba.
