Grounds Manager Assistant
Overview
The Grounds Manager Assistant will assist the Grounds Manager on technical tasks; lead the grounds maintenance crew in daily tasks set out by the Grounds Manager; ensure that tasks are completed safely and in a timely fashion; to operate heavy machinery such as tractors, trucks, chainsaws etc.; to be knowledgeable in equipment maintenance, standard safety regulations and turf management; and is to operate under the International Peace Garden’s maintenance strategy to meet or exceed standards.
There is limited housing available for successful applicants onsite.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Tools, equipment, techniques, materials and methods of grounds management.
Ability to effectively lead a crew in completing tasks and daily routines.
Ability to operate a tractor, welding machine, cutting torch, and ratchets and wrenches.
Knowledge of basic safety rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements
Standing for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50Ibs + multiple times a day.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to work up to 8+ hours a day when needed.
Monday through Friday some weekends are required.
