Regional Manager
Overview
The Regional Manager will oversee district operations for the region and works with the resource or project technicians to administer projects and programs to watershed stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in agriculture with an emphasis in environmental studies, plant science, soil science or animal science. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
• Experience in agronomy, crop production, forage production, rangeland production or livestock production and environmentally sustainable cropping and livestock practices
• Knowledge of soils, climate, crops or livestock specific to Manitoba
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise documents, reports, guides, and factsheets to convey complex technical information to a variety of internal and external audiences
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and maintain strong working relationships with rural clients, industry groups and internal contacts
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, develop options and make sound recommendations, including livestock, forage or cropland management or for the adoption of beneficial management practices
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines with limited lead times
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, ARCGIS online or similar GIS program
• Sound knowledge of issues, regulations and beneficial management practices related to crop and livestock production in Manitoba
