Admission Requirements

There are no admission requirements for this program.

English is the language of instruction at Assiniboine. All applicants educated outside of Canada or in a country not on the test exempt list are expected to meet the English language proficiency requirements.

International Applications

If you are an international student (e.g., on a study permit, work visa, visitor visa, or otherwise), you may apply to this program; however, due to the length of the program, you will not be eligible for a post-graduation work permit program.

Business Models and Legalities (BUSN-0244) | 1.5 Credits

This course designed to provide entrepreneurs, business students, and professionals with a deep understanding of the intricate business models, legalities, and tax implications for operating both provincially and federally in Manitoba, Canada. This course offers an extensive exploration of the diverse business models available in Manitoba, taking into account both provincial and federal considerations. Competitive Analysis (BUSN-0255) | 1.5 Credits

This course is tailored to equip organizations with the knowledge and skills to conduct in-depth competitive analysis using SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) methodology, providing organizations with a framework to identify and leverage their strengths, address weaknesses, seize opportunities, and mitigate threats. Prerequisite: Completing all the other courses included in this program.

With a strong focus on practical application, this course challenges students to synthesize their learning into a comprehensive business plan and a compelling pitch presentation. Do I need to apply to the Entrepreneurship program?

No, students are not required to apply to the program until the 10 core courses are completed.
