Visitor Parking

This page contains parking information for daily rate parking, commonly used by visitors to campus. Staff or students wishing to park on campus can visit the Parking Permits page for more information.

Daily rate parking is paid parking charged at the daily and hourly market rate. Current rates for visitor parking are as follows:

  • Hourly Rate — $2
  • Daily Maximum — $10

Rates are subject to change.

Pay By Phone

Daily rate parking must be paid by credit card using Pay By Phone, either through the Pay By Phone app or online. There are no physical pay stations.

Campus specific details below provide locations for daily rate parking at each campus. Each lot with daily rate parking available has a unique Pay By Phone location number posted on signage in that location.

Once you park, using the Pay By Phone app or website, enter the applicable location number. You will then be prompted to enter vehicle information and payment details.

Paid Parking Hours

Paid visitor parking is enforced Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Outside of these hours (evenings and weekends), visitors may park for free.

Scramble parking is available at no cost in campus parking lots after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.

Assiniboine College accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or their contents. We do not take custody of vehicles, rather we only rent space. If you park and do not display your valid ticket or have a parking permit, your vehicle may be ticketed and/or towed away.


Victoria Avenue East Campus

Daily rate (visitor) stalls are available in two designated lots on campus.

  • North (A) Entrance Lot– 95907
  • South (B) Entrance Lot - 95908

The Centre for Adult Learning - Brandon is located at the Victoria Avenue East Campus.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Parking

Electric vehicle parking is available at the Victoria Avenue East campus. There are four (4) EV stations in the parking lot east of the building.

EV charging is $3.50 per hour. Those using the EV station must vacate when charging is complete.


North Hill Campus

Paid visitor parking is available in Lot 305 as indicated on the map below, with a small number of visitor spots available in Lot 402. Please refer to the map below for these locations.

Parkland Campus

All visitor parking at the Parkland campus is paid parking. Visitor stalls are available in the lot on campus.

Follow Pay By Phone instructions posted on-site. The unique location numbers for daily rate spots is 95900. This, along with the Pay By Phone instructions are posted in the parking lot on applicable parking spaces.

Visitors must pay using a credit card through the Pay By Phone app as indicated on parking lot signage.


Winnipeg Campus

There is limited visitor parking at the Winnipeg Campus. Please report to the front desk for a visitor pass.

Please do not park in front of neighbouring businesses or in spaces marked reserved, or your car will be towed. Assiniboine College is not responsible for towed vehicles.

Other Parking Information

Accessible Parking - Persons with temporary or permanent disabilities may use identified parking stalls within the lot. To qualify for a stall, the person should be eligible for and possess an Accessible Parking Permit which is issued by Manitoba Possible (formerly SMD) or an out of province equivalent. Parking fees apply.

Expectant Mothers - Persons who are expecting may use identified parking stalls within the lot. To qualify for a stall, the person must be expecting. Parking fees apply.

Evening Parking – Parking is free after 5 p.m.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Parking - Electric vehicle parking is available at the Victoria Avenue East campus, with four (4) EV stations in the parking lot east of the building for $3.50 per hour.

Electrical Stalls – Certain lots offer electrical stalls for block heaters only. These stalls are temperature-activated turning on at -17°C and cycling on and off for 20 minutes.

Motorcycle Parking Permits - Persons who travel by motorcycle or scooter will park within the designated student, staff, or visitor areas. Parking fees apply.

Refunds – The purchase of parking permits is non-refundable.

Can visitor parking be paid for ahead of time online?

No, you must use the Pay By Phone app or website to pay for parking.

Do accessibility stalls still exist? Do those visitors need to pay for parking?

Any vehicle displaying a valid accessible parking permit can park in a designated accessibility space. They must pay to park.

Are there still expectant and new parent stalls? Do visitors in those stalls need to pay for parking?

Yes. These stalls are reserved for expectant or new parents. If you park in a stall reserved for expectant or new parents, you must pay to park.

If I’m planning to be on campus for a few days or weeks in a row for a workshop, training, or short-duration program, what kind of parking should I use?

If you wish to park on campus Monday to Friday during the day, you can use either a paid visitor parking stall or consider a general parking permit, depending on what works better for you.

Is it paid parking 24-7 or are some times of day free?

Parking in these visitor spaces is free after 5 p.m., on weekends and on STAT holidays when the college services are not available.

Staff and general parking spaces at these campuses are also available for free, scramble parking on evenings and weekends.

Overnight parking is not permitted unless special arrangements have been made with security. The college assumes no liability for vehicles left overnight.

Will the college tow vehicles if they are illegally parked in a visitor stall (e.g., no permit or an expired permit)?

Yes, your vehicle may be ticketed and/or towed. Assiniboine reserves the right to tow vehicles if they are in violation of visitor parking rules.
