Ed2Go’s engaging online courses provide you with valuable skills to succeed in your current career, help you start a new one or explore an area of personal interest. These informative courses offer two ways to learn:

  • Instructor-moderated courses allow you to study and interact with a cohort over a six-week schedule. Courses start monthly with twice-weekly lesson plans.
  • Self-guided courses, perfect for independent learners, provide access to all lessons immediately and allow up to three months for completion.

Please Note: If you enroll in an Ed2Go course or program, you are not charged Students’ Association fees at Assiniboine College, and are therefore not eligible for services and supports made available to students who would otherwise pay these fees (e.g., student card, library services, fitness centre access, bus pass, PawPass). None of the Ed2Go courses/programs will appear on an a transcript with our college.

What can I expect from an Ed2go online course?

While content will vary depending on the subject, all courses feature instructional text and a final exam. Many courses also include supplemental learning material, such as assignments, quizzes, audio, video, infographics, and hands-on labs.

Why are prices displayed in USD in the Ed2go online course catalog?

Our academic partner, Ed2go, is based out of the United States and partners with many Canadian academic institutions. Once enrollment payments are processed, the conversation to Canadian currency will be displayed on your credit card statement.

What is the difference between “Instructor-Moderated” courses and “Self-Guided” courses?

Instructor-Moderated courses are designed for structured group learning. These courses feature an instructor-moderated discussion board so you can interact with your session cohort. Self-Guided courses are designed for completely independent learning, without instructor moderation or group discussion.

How does an Instructor-Moderated course work?

Instructor-Moderated courses operate on a rolling monthly basis, with four available start dates. After enrolling, you will receive new lessons on a set schedule over six weeks. Two lessons are released each week — one on Wednesday and one on Friday. The final exam is released consecutively with the 12th lesson. You will then have two weeks to complete the exam.

How do Self-Guided courses work?

Self-Guided courses are open enrollment, meaning you can enroll and start a course any time it is convenient. After enrolling, you will receive all lessons immediately and have three months' access to complete the course content. Self-Guided courses do not have extensions.

What happens when I finish an Ed2go course?

When you successfully complete the course by passing the final exam, your Certificate of Completion will be available for download in your online classroom.
