The Russ Edwards School of Agriculture and Environment is looking for a keen student to assist with the Biochar project throughout the summer.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Research Assistant to join our team and collaborate on our exciting biochar project. The selected candidate will work closely with the team members to conduct research at biochar field sites. The primary responsibilities include assisting in exploring various methods of incorporating biochar into crop land, conducting pre and post soil sampling, conducting literature reviews on biochar research, collecting field data during the summer months, and assisting in data analysis and report drafting.
This will be a great opportunity for a current or recent student from our Agriculture and Environment program. You will be self-driven and motivated to learn as much as you can from this experience. You will have great computer skills with the ability to support and improve administrative processes.

This position is funded and requires candidates to be:
- between the ages of 15-30 years of age (at the start of employment),
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person whom refugee protection as been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment; and,
- legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
