Receiving a scholarship was the difference between going to school and not. I was so grateful to get the extra financial help…it really made the final decision as to whether I would attend college or not.

Exceptional learning experiences

Assiniboine offers unparalleled learning environments and responds well to the demands and requirements of the Manitoba labour market. Instructors follow the philosophy of ‘learn by doing’, combining theory with hands-on learning inside classrooms, labs, kitchens, shops, fields and the college’s Sustainable Greenhouse. Areas to support learning spaces, experiences, and equipment include specific programs as well as the Learning Curve, and Library.

Area of greatest need

Area of Greatest Need is also referred to as an Opportunities Fund. This fund allows Assiniboine to pursue educational priorities and unexpected opportunities that may arise. The flexibility to respond quickly to enhance student learning and campus life is essential in our goal of exceptional learning experiences.

Planned giving

Planned giving is any gift, either outright or deferred, made with forethought about the benefits to a charity and the financial implications to the donor. Planned gifts to Assiniboine College Foundation can support student scholarships, awards, bursaries, capital projects, or enhancing student life and experiences, inside or outside the classroom.

In many cases, planned gifts come about because of changes in the life cycle, illness or death of family members. Planned giving can provide taxable incentives, reducing tax bills by almost half while leaving a legacy through a variety of affordable methods suited to your goals, needs and timeline.
