Salary: $50,236 to $70,499 annually ($26.65 to $37.40 hourly)

Assiniboine is currently looking to hire a Job Coach for their Education Assistant Program in Nelson House.

Be Passionate and Take Initiative with these Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with students to as they adapt to classroom education by balancing priorities
  • Help students identify skills for success by identifying their interests and abilities
  • Help students identify educational requirements in their courses and develop training plans
  • Work with the Instructor to ensure student success and connect them with ACC supports
  • Develop employment and career plans with students as they complete their practicum and graduate

Be able to deliver results by having:

  • Post-secondary diploma in an education-related field is preferred
  • Experience working with adults in an educational setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of both employability and essential skills for Education Assistants
  • Ability to work cooperatively with instructional staff, community partners and training organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with students in developing innovative solutions and plans.
  • Demonstrated patience and non-judgmental listening skills
