Seed-to-sale tracking is essential in the cannabis industry. In this micro-course, students will learn how tracking systems fulfil a variety of regulated tasks, including order processing, inventory, warehouse and purchasing management, accounting, and tracking for regulatory compliance and taxation requirements. Tracking systems also play a central role in ensuring product traceability in the event of a product recall.
The key functions of the Cannabis Tracking and Licensing System (CTLS) are explored, as are the use of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and potential new technologies to improve cannabis tracking.
