Ethics in Nursing

This course looks at theories related to the ethical foundation of health professional practice. Students examine the professional code of ethics and other health professional codes as they apply to nurses and other health care professionals. Students also learn about various dimensions of ethics including ethical decision making, informed consent, confidentiality, boundary issues and cultural diversity. Students also recognize the importance of continuing education to maintain their competencies.
