Students study the body's normal nutritional needs and recommended daily dietary allowances for calories, protein, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Learners engage in course theory to consider important concepts related to medical conditions and to evaluate nutrition throughout the lifespan and in the prevention of diseases.
